As the river Nila is flowing towards north in this area it is worshipped as Mother Ganga itself. Before the daily temple arathi at 6:30 p.m. the devotees gather near the river under the guidance of the Priest and offer their worship by lighting the lamps and chanting Ganga arathi song. This worship is considered very auspicious and it fulfills all the desires of the devotee.
